WPExplorer: A WordPress Blog Packed with Free and Premium Themes

WPExplorer is a multi-author WordPress blog that was founded by AJ Clarke. The aim of WPExplorer.com is to be your number one source for all things WordPress related and along with the regular blog posts, and the theme and plugins reviews, the site does a great job of achieving this.

Who is Behind WPExplorer

As mentioned in the intro, the site was created by AJ Clarke, a WordPress theme developer from Las Vegas, Nevada. After starting out promoting the many themes available from ThemeForest, AJ began creating his own designs and releasing them though the popular envato marketplace. He quickly climbed the ranks to reach elite author status, with over 20,000 sales from his portfolio of items to date.

After a successful stint at ThemeForest, AJ then started Authentic Themes and began releasing his own free and premium WordPress themes, through his own online store.

More Reasons to Check out WPExplorer

As well as the regular stream of blog content which is published to the site on an almost daily basis, there are a few other good reasons why you should head on over to WPExplorer. Amongst those reasons are the free WordPress themes which are available for download from the site.

There are some really attractive templates available amongst the 100% GPL, free WordPress themes and they make a great way to get acquainted with the design style of AJ before checking out the premium offerings from Authentic Themes.

The themes cover a range of styles so no matter what type of website you are building, there should be something to help you get started. Personally, I think Elegant is my pick of the bunch, but there are plenty to choose from.

There is also a free shortcodes plugin available from the team called Symple Shortcodes which allows you to insert a wide selection of page elements into your posts and pages including buttons, tabs, pricing tables, columns, and more.
