Does Caching Work For Pages Served Over HTTPS?

Yes, caching indeed works for pages served over HTTPS. “Culprits” as we like to call them that will break our full-page NGINX caching layer are PHP session variables and any server-side cookies you may have running (javascript-based cookies are fine).

Caching plays in integral role in gaining the most of our Pagely VPS resources with us. Our goal is to always reduce your resource footprint by ensuring you’re effectively using cache as much as possible. Any special tweaks we can make to heighten your performance/output per dollar ratio here is something we’ll work with you to validate.

When on-boarding new customers, we suggest reviewing our Optimization Guide for taking steps to maximize your website’s speed and scale.
