Does Pagely support SSO (Single Sign-On)?

Yes.

Pagely provides SAML 2.0-based single sign-on (SSO) integration out of the box.

Pagely does not support the use of the CAS protocol — however, if you are using a CAS server such as Aspereo CAS, we should be able to support it as this server supports multiple protocols, including SAML 2.0.

Most of the major SSO/single sign-on providers support the SAML protocol, so your provider will probably be compatible with Pagely.

If you are not sure if your setup will work with Pagely, please speak with sales about what we can do out of the box — you will probably be pleasantly surprised.

Two Use Cases for SSO Integration at Pagely

  1. Sign-In to the Atomic Control Panel

The primary use case for SSO at Pagely is to use a single sign-on service, like Azure Active Directory or Okta, to log into our Atomic Control Panel. This is the advanced web application that lets someone on your team create new WordPress websites (‘Apps’ in the Atomic interface), add collaborators, talk to Pagely Support, tweak caching and DNS, set up redirects, and more. You do not need any plugins or other software to set this up — other than a SSO service provider that supports the SAML protocol for single sign-on (most/all major SSO providers do).

  2. Sign-in to your individual WordPress Sites

The secondary use case is to allow users to log into particular WordPress instances — so they can add and update content (blog posts and pages), add/remove users/authors/editors, etc. For this functionality, you can use a variety of service providers/plugins; we have customers who like miniOrange, and there are also free (but unsupported) plugins, too.
