Vulnerability Scanning and Penetration Testing Against Your Pagely VPS

As long as your web application scanner IP address does not regularly change, an approval of up to 90 days can be made for continuous scanning against your Pagely VPS.

Internal Auditing

We run tests against our infrastructure regularly on a quarterly basis using a trusted 3rd party vendor. Routinely, we also perform an internal gap analysis to verify all customer servers have had security patches applied as necessary. It’s critical that our customers understand that we can essentially lock down your VPS however you see fit since these are isolated being your own server instances.

Pagely servers are scanned every 24 hours for malware and vulnerabilities. If there is an infected file, the automated systems will “jail” that file, we’ll alert you to this via a HelpDesk support ticket, and clean the infected files out. We then proceed to identify where the attack originated (i.e. poor plugin, weak passwords, etc.) and help you correct that.

Performing Your Own Auditing or Testing

To initiate a scan, we require an advanced notice of one-two weeks minimum as we have to coordinate with Amazon Web Services (our Cloud Infrastructure Provider) prior to any testing taking place. During this time, we can whitelist the scanner’s IP addresses so they do not get blocked while performing the scans.

In order to gain approval, customers will need to complete our Security Assessment Form and send to our support team for review before running any scans. Information on Performing Security Scans and access to a downloadable copy of our Security Assessment Form can be found in the article linked.
