Sales Development Representative

Pagely is the managed hosting company for WordPress. We have spent more than a decade building an industry-leading brand with industry-leading people, and now we are looking to expand our team. Joining our newly-revamped sales team is an excellent opportunity to learn the tech/software industry. You’ll also have the ability to quickly learn and advance  as a leader and advocate of doing business the “Pagely Way”.

Pagely is looking for an ambitious Sales Development Representative in the greater Salt Lake City area. While we are a fully remote company, our Director of Sales and Director of Marketing are based in the area. We are looking to grow our sales/marketing teams in SLC and hope you can be a part of the action!

A Day in the Life – your day-to-day responsibilities will include…

  • Demand generation via emailing, warm call follow ups, and planning out campaigns in your designated territory/channel
  • Effectively communicate Pagely’s value proposition, on a vertical-by-vertical basis, to secure initial meetings with prospects
  • Discover, navigate and document an organization’s landscape and hand-off to the Account Executive team
  • Maintain all daily activity info in our HubSpot CRM
  • Embrace the Pagely culture as the public face of our growing brand

Qualifications

  • Reliable, confident, and articulate with great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a large volume of emails and calls over time
  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar

Expectations for Success

  • Generating a pipeline of leads and business opportunities through prospecting into companies

Our Team

Starting on the Sales Development Team, you will receive world class training on our products and sales process, get acclimated to the industry, and get familiar with our client demographic. Those who exemplify a high degree of integrity and exceptional performance, will be quickly promoted onto one of our Corporate Sales Teams across multiple product lines. Corporate Sales representatives have the opportunity to progress in sales or leadership positions.

The Sales Development team is an essential team in Pagely sales and marketing efforts and is responsible for a combination of demand response, demand management and demand creation. The primary charge of a Sales Development Representative is to fill and manage the top portion of the sales pipeline, allowing Account Executives to focus on closing business. Extraordinary training will be provided for ideal candidates and the Sales Development team will serve as a recruiting source for other internal Pagely positions. You will report to the Director of Enterprise Sales.

DevOps Engineer – Remote – Junior- to-Mid-level

We are currently prioritizing candidates interested in our 1st shift (9AM-5PM MST). International candidates are also welcome to apply.

Current openings are for Junior- to Mid-level DevOps Engineers. Starting annual salary range is $50,000-85,000 USD depending on your experience level. This is a great opportunity for a technical support engineer to move into an operations and developer role.

DevOps at Pagely builds and maintains the infrastructure powering our Managed WordPress Hosting Platform. By providing coverage across 3 shifts, our international team of DevOps Engineers helps our customers sleep more soundly knowing their sites are in good hands. Using many of the available services on Amazon Web Services, languages such as PHP, Lua, and Python, and tools like Ansible and Terraform, we’re always working to improve an already-great platform that many global brands and companies consider to be the only viable home for their mission-critical web properties.

Being a DevOps Engineer at Pagely is not just a glorified sysadmin gig. We empower each member of the team to take on recurring problems and solve them instead of settling for the status quo. Responsibilities rotate between handling incoming alerts, fielding the more complex support tickets for our clients, and working on various projects to improve efficiency, monitoring, performance, and features.

The ideal candidate is someone who feels at home in an SSH terminal or with an API, but also enjoys interacting directly with customers via our online helpdesk and over Slack. Contributing to and refining our documentation is a routine part of our processes. As a remote team, we are brought together by tools and automation that help us all collaborate asynchronously.

Naturally, working with WordPress is a major part of the job, but there are many underlying technologies and supporting systems you’ll gain experience with as part of your day-to-day work. Experience with Ubuntu Linux, Laravel, NGINX, PHP-FPM, Docker, Redis, MySQL, Apache, ElasticSearch, Jenkins, InfluxDB — just to name a few — will give you an advantage in getting up to speed. But, we’re a team with diverse talents. If you aren’t super familiar with everything listed here, that’s okay too.

    • WordPress/web hosting experience
    • WordPress core, themes, and/or plugin experience
    • HTML, CSS, and PHP/mySQL debugging experience
    • Familiarity with JSON, YML, and/or Linux command line
