A simple test of WordPress performance

Caching page output via Varnish or NGINX will bring the load time of nearly any cacheable page down well under a second. It is an easy win.

The true test for your host is when you access your dashboard or a customer adds a product to their cart for checkout. Does that process feel sluggish and slow? The backend performance of your WordPress site is how you can gauge how well your setup is performing.

Our stack delivers consistently fast performance for all usage scenario's. That is why key members of the WordPress business community choose Pagely. They know their business depends on their site performing well in all cases.

We Are Scalable

Flexibility and robust scaling characterize our managed WordPress hosting stack. Our network edge features a globally distributed caching system that serves billions of requests weekly. However we pass the true test of backend scalability with optimized EC2 instances that can scale to accommodate the most demanding WordPress application's.

PressARMOR - Secured WordPress

We Are Secure

Introducing PressARMOR

A comprehensive security architecture developed by Pagely® that hardens and protects our network, hardware, and applications. The primary focus is on prevention and the mitigation of risk to clients.

Secure WordPress Hosting is just how we do business. For base level security, we utilize the industry standard open-source web application firewall (WAF) mod_security, which means we block commonly known exploits by use of regular expressions and rule sets. Things like code injection attacks. In addition, we utilize custom rate limiting which means limiting the bandwidth to a particular category of traffic or connection type. This greatly reduces the chance of a DDoS attack succeeding.

On top of the above, we also utilize chroot user separation and real-time system malware scanning. Scanning for malware means we’re constantly looking for things like trojan horses, viruses, worms, keyloggers, spyware, and adware. Chroot means we’re running certain processes inside of modified environments so they can’t access files outside their designated directory tree, and hence this is an additional hardening feature we’re using to keep the bad guys out.

Additional rulesets at our network edge filter out much of the nefarious traffic long before it even has a chance to pass into our network.

PressCACHE - Faster WordPress

We are Fast

Introducing PressCACHE

A global network of DNS routed cache nodes explicitly designed to serve WordPress page output. Your site, available instantly, from anywhere.

PressCACHE™ is a global WordPress acceleration system available for use by our clients. It works much like a CDN, but specifically designed to cache and serve WordPress page output.

Essentially, a request for your website is routed to one of our global PoPs (Point of Presence) closest to the user. This shortens the distance between the user and your website thereby speeding up the load time of your site to a global audience. PressCACHE™ is available to all customers using our PressDNS™ nameservers.

Caching Locations

  • USA East (Virginia)
  • USA West (N California)
  • South America (São Paulo)
  • EU (Ireland)
  • Asia Pacific (Singapore)
  • Australia (Sydney)
PressCDN - WordPress CDN

We are Faster still

Introducing PressCDN

Photos, images, and static assets served from a global network of servers. Faster download speeds for your site visitors.

All of our plans come with our CDN built specifically for WordPress, PressCDN™, which is powered by backend providers that include MaxCDN. That means your static assets are served according to the provider which has the closest location to your site’s particular visitor. For example, if your visitor happens to be accessing your site from Chennai India, your static assets may be served by Amazon Edge, since they have a location there. Having multiple providers on the backend means more efficiency and faster load times for your users.
